The new Converging Paths event looks simple at first, but a lot of squads are burning through their runs in the same way. They push the middle of the map, get dragged into messy fights, and then lose the lot on the way out. If you want a steadier start, it helps to think less about kills and more about control, and even something like buy ARC Raiders Items can make sense when you are trying to save time and keep your runs focused on the real target.
Use the edges, not the middleThe safer play is usually the boring one. Stay off the main roads, skirt around the heavy traffic zones, and keep moving where other players do not want to bother checking. Vertical routes matter a lot here. Cranes, broken towers, rooftops, and half-finished structures give you cleaner sight lines and fewer random fights. You'll notice pretty quickly that most threats stack up on the ground, where people bunch together and panic. Up high, things feel slower. That is a good thing.
Pick odd spots that other players skipPeople love obvious loot spots. That is why they are often a nightmare. Chimney platforms, roof corners, and awkward edge-map containers tend to get ignored because they take a bit more effort to reach. That extra effort is the point. These places can still hold the kind of relics you want, but you are not sharing them with half the lobby. It also gives you a cleaner rhythm. Get in, check the area, grab what matters, then move on before the whole match turns noisy.
Know when to leaveMost failed runs do not happen because players are unlucky. They happen because people stay one minute too long. Set a Merit target before you drop in. Once you hit it, stop being greedy. If the bag is in decent shape, head for extraction right away. A lot of players tell themselves they'll take one more room, one more crate, one more chance. That is usually when things go sideways. A clean escape with a modest haul is worth more than a big inventory that never makes it out.
Keep your bag lean and your route simpleNot every relic deserves space. High-value gold or purple finds should stay, even if that means dropping a few comfort items. Mid-tier parts are fine if you have room, but they should not push out better loot. Low-value scrap is the first thing to go when things get tight. The event rewards players who think in terms of value per slot, not just how much they can stuff into a pack. If you keep your route simple and your choices sharp, you'll get better results with less stress. That same thinking also helps when you are choosing ARC Raiders weapons, since the right setup can save you from carrying dead weight and make each extraction feel a lot cleaner.
